Billy Covington, affectionately known as “Billy C,” is the smooth, soulful voice from the multi-platinum R&B group Hi-Five—and now, he’s stepping into a bold new chapter as a dynamic solo artist. Blending timeless R&B with Afro-Latino rhythms and global influences, Billy’s sound is fresh, yet rooted in the emotional storytelling that made R&B legendary.

From humble beginnings performing in small venues to selling out Wembley Arena in London, sharing the stage with Tony! Toni! Toné! and Bobby Brown at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and opening for Janet Jackson with Teddy Riley at Essence Festival in the New Orleans Superdome—Billy’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

A native of New York, Billy found his passion for music early. In the mid-90s, he relocated to New Jersey to fully pursue his dream, eventually earning the respect of the industry through talent and determination. Over the years, he’s collaborated with heavy hitters like DJ Eddie F, Donell Jones, Sheldon “So” Goode, and Grammy Award-winning producer Darren Lighty. These experiences shaped him into the seasoned artist he is today.

Billy's voice—a fusion of velvet smoothness and heartfelt conviction—has graced the stages of iconic venues including Nells, Webster Hall, and Village Underground. His performances are known for their warmth, authenticity, and soul-stirring delivery.
